I was called today and the person would not clarify questions I had about questions he was asking me. I want a call back from a supervisor right away.
I think I got a phishing call from Carmelita about my SSA benefits. I want to check this out. The number she called from was 510 970 1127. The number she asked me to call her back on is 510 970 1545. Do I need to be worried, or does she work for you in the SSA office?
If someone saying they are from Social Security does email you requesting information, don’t respond to the message. Instead, contact your local Social Security office or call us at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) to see whether we really need any information from you. Whatever you do, don’t fall victim to a scam.
I recently received numbers phishing/ scam phone calls after attempting to return a call to someone named Greg Z purportedly from the Richmond SSA office. It bothered me so I waited at a SSA local office while traveling through the mid-west. The very pleasant clerk agreed the multiple voicemail messages sounded like a scam.
Sheesh 😟

I accompanied a very elderly gentleman who needed to update his status with SSI . We went to the Richmond office today where we did not have a very long wait…so much better than Walnut Creek where the parking is awful. . We had an EXCELLENT experience with Erin Duffel A ++++the Clerk who assisted us. She was upbeat, efficient and very courtesy.
