All of the people I spoke to here were awesome, especially the woman who helped me get signed up for mysocialsecurity without an appointment AFTER HOURS!

I had an excellent experience today on a phone appointment with someone from the Springfield SSA office. The person I spoke to, Scott, was very helpful and informative. I had an in-person interaction with this office several years ago as well, and they were great then too.

I did not try to call, so I can't say anything about the phone system. I went in to the office, explained my situation I was in with the VA, and they handed me a couple of forms that they helped me fill out. A couple months later in got my first payment with back pay. No problems, friendly helpful staff. I suspect that the service you receive is a reflection of the attitude you bring with you.
