both a good friend and i have had very positive experiences at this office in the fairly recent past. i had a problem which i tried to resolve over the phone. i tried several times and each time, after an unbelievably long wait i got no results. so, without an appointment (which one can make), i went into 195 montague. there are separate waiting lines for appointments and drop in (and people applying for cards are directed to another floor). my wait was short (maybe 15 minutes) and my problem, which was fairly simple, was handled courteously and quickly by the woman to whom i was directed.
