I was there yesterday to have my last name changed due to marriage. Yes there was a small line but it moved quickly. Keep in mind this is a government building so you will go through security, of course. Security staff was friendly. I got my number and waited less than an hour from the time I got there until I was done. The gentleman at the window who helped me was curious and professional. So here is my input for others. Make sure that you bring your appropriate paperwork with you , or you will have to go back and wait again. This is our responsibility not the staff that works there. Have an application completed for a new social security card. Go on the web page and search what paperwork you need to bring for your visit, It will make it a lot smoother.

I think things have improved there. I came in on behalf of someone else, but my wait time was quick. I needed to get paperwork filled out so i did that & returned the next morning. I was seen again very quickly & the issue was resolved. The security guards were professional & very nice. As well as 2 different technicians & a supervisor were helpful & competent. I was really surprised by the waits not being long like it used to be. Most of the reviews are negative on here, so heres some positive feedback. I am very satisfied. I recommend highly that you bring ALL YOUR PAPERWORK that you think you will need though! It expedites everything. Thank you to the sprvsr & techs that helped me!
