4 years agoyou can have both good and bad wait times at the office. its never good to go around the first of the month. i've had to wait 4hrs once when i went on the 2nd! but i've also only had to wait 1/2 hr at different times during the month if i go, especially towards the end of the day.

4 years agoTip: they have security like an airport so pack lightly. No liquids, no lighters, etc. Skip the belts and heavy jewelry. This place is always pretty busy so keep that in mind. Patience will be needed. Be polite and they'll be polite back to you. Make sure you use the kiosk when you arrive to get a number, unless you have a preset appointment. The security guards are actually quite nice and will even help with the check in process. I waited just under an hour today. If you don't want to wait that long, double check their website ahead of time, as there is a lot you can do electronically and you may be able to avoid coming here entirely. And don't come right before closing. Get here at least 15-30 minutes before the end of their day. The government doesn't want to pay overtime, so I'm not surprised by the other lady's review that said she was locked out at five minutes before close. These are our tax dollars at work. And just ask yourself, do you want someone coming in to your place of work five minutes before your shift ends??

3 years agoThough the wait was not too bad, the wait line could use some chairs for elderly to sit on. I had an excellent Officer Chitra who helped me and helped me resolve my issue and was very cordial and friendly.
