My husband was recently in the Temple Texas office and spoke with the older lady at window 15. He was turning in SSI paperwork when she said to him basically you don't want to work so you can collect social security. My husband is retired military and still suffers from things he experienced on a daily basis that she or half the people don't understand. This was a completely disgusting comment and needs to be addressed. People should not be treated that way especially when they do need the help. I have been on hold with the 1866 number for over 15 mins and can not get ahold of anyone in charge. I did not feel comfortable leaving our paperwork with someone that views us as what she seemed to view us as.

Excellent service, and the young man I spoke to was very kind. The phone wait is a bit long, but that is to be expected with all we are currently experiencing. Keep up the good work.
