If you go to Merced SS office, contain any and all of your emotions. Because some of the workers down there do not know the difference between discouragement.. and danger! When I was there.. discussing my case.. I expressed my discouragement on all of the hoops one must navigate.. and of the time it takes for something to happen. Well before I knew it there were two Police officers behind me with guns drawn telling me to "keep my hands where they can see them" as they put me in hand cuffs in front of everyone in the building, as if I were a criminal. When all I did was express what I felt. In no way was I threatening.. or showing any type of anger. Just the opposite. And what do I get? I'm hauled off to the nearest sanitarium for evaluation. Even the Police officers lacked the ability to distinguish disillusionment from deadly! So if I have to go back into that office... I put on a "Happy Face" and keep my mouth shut!
