The Social Security Office at 180 Adm Cochrane Dr Suite 210 Annapolis, MD is located in an easy access location. The office size is quant which means capacity is met quickly. The intake process is redundant and does not yield quality customer service.

The sign-in sheet has been replaced with a Kiosk. No surprise there because several organizations have resorted to using this type of self service tool. Once signed in using the Kiosk, a short wait period followed by a consultation with a representative that is followed by another wait period. The purpose for the consultation is to repeat the information selected at the Kiosk. Your next visit to the window yield another series of redundant questions which normally ends with wait for a letter in the mail. The entire process takes half of your day only to leave feeling unsatisfied.

Going forward the SS Adm could streamline some of the walk-in process and devise Customer Service Professional Development for their staff.
